Finding the senior living property that meets one’s needs can be overwhelming. There are so many properties, and they all seem at least adequate. But loved ones deserve more than adequate; they deserve the best fit based upon their individual needs and desires. We provide the personal, local, hands-on service your patients and their families need to find the best senior living option possible
About me: I serve. My whole life has been about serving others. I was taught how to do so by my Mom and Dad, who were always willing to lend a helping hand to their neighbors, friends, and family members. My parents took care of my grandparents in their final years and surrounded them with love and respect. Their example of how to treat people was the greatest gift they ever gave me.
In 1999, after graduating from law school, I joined the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, with my first duty station in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I met my wife. We were transferred to Ramstein Air Base, Germany in 2001, where I served as the base’s lead prosecutor. Next stop was Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas where I was the Chief of Medical Law and where my wife and I welcomed our son. I deployed to Iraq in 2006 where I served as the Chief of a team of military lawyers prosecuting terrorists in Baghdad. Following my deployment, the Air Force sent me to the George Washington Law School in Washington, DC to get an advanced law degree in employment law. I remained in the DC area where I served as the Deputy Chief of the Air Force labor and employment litigation center, and where my family was increased with the birth of a beautiful little girl.
My final active-duty assignment was with the National Guard Bureau’s Office of Chief Counsel in Arlington, Virginia where, in response to increased awareness of the unacceptable numbers of sexual assaults in the Nation Guard, I was selected to create and lead an office responsible for investigating allegations of sexual assault. This was the most difficult assignment of my military career, yet it is the one which has had the most continuing impact. After leaving active duty with the Air Force, I continued to serve in as a civilian attorney in the Army, and in the Air Force Reserve, where I retired in the rank of Colonel in 2020.
My mother, my biggest fan and supporter, fell ill in 2019. Like many of my clients, my family felt rushed and overwhelmed when faced with making decisions about her potential living arrangements. Looking back, I wish we had engaged an ALL representative to make sense of the overwhelming amount of information and to help us through the process. When I later became aware of what ALL senior care providers do and what services they can perform for families, I knew I had to continue my service as part of this team. Colleen, and my Dad Gary, are the inspiration and guiding light for ALL-Nashville.
