Description of Services:

My job is to educate you about how the 'system' works so that you can build a plan for yourself or your loved one. It might include home care, respite care, day care, or moving to a senior living community. My services are free to you because I am reimbursed by the community if you work with me I know every community in San Diego County and beyond, but will often refer to vetted colleagues for help in other counties.
My job also is to be supportive with training and consulting to families trying to care partner with a loved one living with dementia. It's a value add for my placement and referral service or it can be a stand alone service when you need education on dementia care tips and techniques.
I am a certified Placement and Referral Specialist with NPRA
I am an advanced certified (Ind) PAC Trainer and Consultant (Teepa Snow) - Dementia Care

Biographical Information:

I was born and raised in Western Canada and have lived in the USA since 1987. I have a MMSc in Organizational Behavior, and have always followed a career path in anything to do with Sociology, which is my overall passion. I've had successful careers in HR Employment and Recruitment, and in Business Conference planning and production. I'm very grateful as I've always loved what I do for a living. Working with families and seniors to define and then execute the next part of life assuring the dignity and safety they deserve is now my passion and has been since 2006.
I am a certified placement and referral specialist (NPRA) and an advanced Certified Dementia Care Consultant and Trainer (Teepa Snow)
I am a volunteer on the CSA Ethics and Standards Committee and over the years have been a volunteer on many projects with the CSA. I also volunteer annually to preview documentary films for a local annual film festival.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, music and travelling to concerts (blues and blues rock) and walking with my two dogs. I enjoy taking them to communities to bring joy to residents who love dogs and are lonely for their pets,
