I believe in enabling seniors to age with dignity, at every stage of life, and I have been involved in senior care for many years. Ten years ago, I owned a senior care business in California with the goal of providing dependable and affordable assistance for seniors and therefore making a difference in their day-to-day lives. I entered this phase of my senior care journey after I was personally affected by the impact of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. My mother-in-law was taken by Alzheimer’s. Her journey progressed through the stages of independence, family care, independent caregivers, assisted living, memory care, and finally, skilled nursing care and hospice. I thought that journey was so significantly difficult and disruptive that if I could do something to ease that road for anyone else, that I could make a difference in the quality of life for the senior and their family. I needed to step up to the plate. Acquiring Oasis Senior Advisors in Virginia is a small, but I hope, important way of giving something back. I have worked in and run a wide range of customer-service businesses, including senior care, and my strong business relationships are founded upon professionalism and second-to-none customer service. This approach carries over to every one of my clients at Oasis Senior Advisors. My wife Terri and I have two grown children, and we now live in the Richmond, Virginia area.
