Rebecca Ness is a seasoned healthcare professional with personal experience as a family caregiver. She founded Senior Planning Advisors out of her passion for working with older adults, personal experience as a primary family caregiver, and her work serving as the volunteer member on a local hospice team.
Her healthcare experience includes work as a practice administrator at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Compliance Officer and Governance Director at a Maine health system.
In addition to currently serving as a hospice volunteer, Rebecca serves as an External Advisor for the University of New England Center for Excellence in Aging and Health. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter and the Westbrook College/University of New England Board of Trustees. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity on a local, national, and international level.
Rebecca earned a Master of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Her advanced education includes training in the Alternative Dispute Resolution practice of Mediation. She is also trained in process improvement earning a Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
She is a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
