Melanie is the owner of Senior Care Authority for New Haven county and parts of Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex and New London counties in Connecticut. She is a Certified Senior Advisor, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Beyond Driving with Dignity professional and member of the National Placement and Referral Alliance. She helps families and seniors navigate the broad, confusing, and stressful conversations regarding senior living options and complex and sensitive senior driving concerns. Melanie has lived in Connecticut her entire life, she is the youngest of eight and the only daughter. For as long as she can remember her parents would tell people her real name is Finall. Her desire to help aging adults and their families make healthy transitions is a response to the challenges her family faced after the COVID19 virus debilitated her parents. She chose Senior Care Authority, a nationwide enterprise, due to the caring attitude of the people in the organization. In addition, the training, systems, teamwork, and sharing of ideas among owners provides the basis for a class A organization now and for the future. She brings an abundance of experience from her extensive career fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, particularly in the area of advocating for vulnerable populations. Melanie is an active member in her community serving on nonprofit boards locally and nationally and believes strongly in paying it forward. She is the proud mom to two incredible adult children an amazing daughter-in-law and holds the proud title of Mimi. Spending time with friends, family, practicing yoga and meditation feed her soul.
