Description of Services:

Specializing in serving seniors in Alamo Heights, Texas and surrounding areas, I represent all the major insurance companies including BCBS of Texas, Humana, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and several others. In addition to helping with Medicare decisions and Long Term Care policies, I am also a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and assist with seniors who wish to downsize their residence to simplify their life. My office is conveniently located next to HEB Central Market in the shopping center near Mon Thai restaurant.

Biographical Information:

After graduating Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University, I worked on a horse farm for a year before moving to San Antonio in 1983. Holding a degree in Journalism, I spent several years working for Y100 and KKYX radio before joining Patton Corporation as a land salesman in the beautiful Texas Hill Country near Sisterdale, along the Guadelupe River. When that subdivision sold out, I shifted gears and obtained my insurance license, selling life insurance and annuities before settling on group and individual health insurance as my main focus.

In 1998 I established McClaran Financial, and moved my office to its current location on Broadway in Alamo Heights. Soon after, I obtained my Real Estate Broker license and began selling real estate in addition to life and health insurance. Today, my focus is on serving the senior population, helping navigate the complexities of Medicare and Social Security as well as providing the peace of mind that Long Term Care insurance and Annuities can provide.
