Julie Smith

After graduating from Judson College in 1992, Julie started her career in the Judson College Office of Admissions working to recruit and retain quality students. After 14 years serving Judson College, she found her way to Home Instead Senior Care as the HR Manager facing the challenges of hiring and retaining quality caregivers to work with seniors in North Alabama. In June 2008, Julie became the Marketing Director and Director of Education for Home Instead Senior Care in Huntsville, AL. Through community education and building relationships with healthcare professionals, Julie helped to make a difference in the lives of seniors by providing appropriate homecare options and client/caregiver relationships. In 2011, Julie became a Certified Senior Advisor. Julie joined Amedisys Home Health in November of 2019 as the local, trusted expert for aging issues where she serves as the Community Educator. During her healthcare career she has been a presenter for National, Regional and State conferences. She is well versed in senior care issues related to successful aging, dementia, dealing with difficult issues, family caregiver strategies and professional development.
