ElderCare Services is a local, independent, family-owned agency serving the Shoals Area of northwest Alabama (Lauderdale & Colbert counties) since 1996.
ElderCare provides non-medical home care, which includes personal care, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, fall prevention, Alzheimer's & dementia care and medication reminders. We also do meal preparation, light housekeeping and transportation.
The goal of our service is to help senior citizens continue living at home safely, happily and comfortably.
All of our caregivers are required to pass thorough background checks, and since our caregivers are employees (W-2) of ElderCare, they are bonded, covered by workers comp and liability insurance, and we pay all payroll taxes.
Dee Mussleman has been with ElderCare since its inception in 1996. Dee enjoys helping senior citizens continue living in their own homes and providing a helping hand to their families.
Dee is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). He is active in the local health care community and is a long-standing member of the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA). He has lobbied on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on multiple occasions to support and protect the employees and clients not only of ElderCare Services, but also those of home care agencies across the nation.
He has served on the non-profit boards of the Coalition of Alzheimer's and Related Disorders of Northwest Alabama (CARD), Regional Effective Action Care Transitions (REACT) and Rolling Riders Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program (for disabled children). Dee is currently the Shoals Advisory Board Chairman of the Better Business Bureau.
