Jane Fisher

Jane Fisher is the co-owner of Oasis Senior Advisors of South Central and Southeastern, CT, a role that allows her to combine her passions for gathering current, accurate, and relevant information and developing relationships with older adults. She is also a respected community leader in Wallingford where she served as the Director of the Wallingford Public Library from 2013-2023. Jane earned her undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration from Quinnipiac College, graduating Summa Cum Laude while serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the college newspaper. In 1996, she received the Willis O. Underwood Alumnus Award for Distinguished Leadership from the college.

Following a distinguished career as a retirement community administrator and a licensed nursing home administrator, Jane earned a Master’s Degree in Library & Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from CUNY-Baruch College. She has extensive experience working in libraries, including multiple positions at the New York Public Library. Jane has written and published numerous papers and articles and has been a featured speaker in both the senior living and public library fields. She is also a certified Guided Autobiography instructor.

Among her community service roles, Jane is a member of the Wallingford Rotary Club and served as its President from 2020-2021. She also serves on the boards of the United Way of Meriden & Wallingford and the Wallingford Senior Center. She was the recipient of the 2018 Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce Women’s Community Impact Award and in 2023 she received a distinguished alumni award from the Wallingford Education Foundation.

Jane and her husband, Kevin O’Rourke, spend their free time enjoying the arts, volunteering in their community, riding bicycles, and exploring Connecticut’s natural beauty.
